Bring Me The Horizon Launch US Tour

UK’s Hottest Metalcore Band To Kick Off U.S. Tour in November

On November 7th Britain’s most buzzed about band, Bring Me The Horizon, will unleash hell on their first ever headlining tour of the U.S. in anticipation of the their new album, Suicide Season, which is set for release on November 18th.

Kerrang!’s “Best British Newcomers” Bring Me The Horizon made their rowdy introduction to the States at the Vans Warped Tour and quickly drew some of the festivals largest audiences.  Frontman Oli Sykes’ unruly antics, harsh growls and vigorous stage presence allow him to command the crowd, which often times results in a massive fan frenzied orgy of slamdancing chaos.

Recently featured on the cover of Kerrang! and Rocksound, Bring Me The Horizon are stirring up buzz in the U.S. with their insanely energetic live shows and the anticipated release of their new album, Suicide Season.  Much like their shows, Suicide Season kicks down the doors of preconception with a non-stop barrage of 100 proof metalcore.

From the album’s opening track “The Comedown,” a brutal double kick in the teeth, to the moody hardcore meltdown of “Chelsea Smile” and the prog-screamo sing along “The Sadness Will Never End,” Suicide Season doesn’t let up until the last notes of the album-ending title track.

Get in the pit this fall with Bring Me The Horizon!!!!

Epitaph To Release Leathermouth Debut Album

EPITAPH TO RELEASE LEATHERMOUTH DEBUT ALBUM

Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) Gets Pissed For Epitaph Records

New Jersey hardcore group LeATHERMOUTH have signed to Epitaph Records with plans to release their debut album in early 2009.

Featuring founding members Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance (vocals) and Rob Hughes (guitar) along with various friends who have toured and recorded with them, LeATHERMOUTH was formed in a garage in New Jersey in 2007 with the sole intention of making raw confrontational punk rock that not only served as a mouth piece for Iero’s ire but also as a reminder to today’s youth that sometimes it’s the loudmouths who make change happen in this tumultuous world.

“For me LeATHERMOUTH is how I can vent about all the bullshit that I see going on in the world that makes me ill,” says Iero.  “I try to belabor the topics people want to forget exist.  LeATHERMOUTH is where I can vomit out all the aggression that has built up inside.  After recording or playing a LM show I feel empty of all that hatred that’s been bottled up.  It’s a pleasant, cathartic experience.  I would love to not feel the way I do about certain things, and have rainbows and birds chirping in my head, but that’s just not the way I’m built.  I am embarrassed by my emotions and originally wanted to keep LeATHERMOUTH anonymous...but fuck it, none of us are perfect, the world is going to shit, and someone has to say it.  I think it would be worse if I hid from it.”

Once the group had finished recording they approached Epitaph Record’s founder and president Brett Gurewitz about signing to the label.  After listening to the sheer intensity and songwriting of the music Gurewitz was sold and signed the band to the label.

“That was a real no brainer,” Iero adds.  “I’ve been a fan of the label ever since I was young.  They take chances with the artists they work with, and they let their artists be themselves.  I have a great deal of respect for Epitaph, and when I decided that I didn’t want to release the LeATHERMOUTH record myself there was only one other label that I felt would be right for this project.  I feel honored to be accepted into the Epitaph family, it is something that I’ve thought about ever since I was a kid.  I hope I don’t fuck it up.”

Stay tuned for more information regarding the release of LeATHERMOUTH’s debut album coming in 2009.

Sage Francis Records "Conspiracy to Riot"

SAGE FRANCIS RECORDS “CONSPIRACY TO RIOT” AND SETS UP WEBSITE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR RNC ARREST DEFENSE

Facing Mounting Legal Costs, Journalist Jared Paul Receives Support from the Independent Music Community

Outraged at the treatment of journalists, protestors and ordinary bystanders by this year’s Republican National Convention in St. Paul MN, Sage Francis has taken to the mic to do what he has done best over his 10 year career:  raise awareness through music.

Many Americans watched as scores of those who were providing coverage of the RNC were arrested and jailed, notably the arrest of “Democracy Now!” host Amy Goodman and two of her colleagues, which was captured on video and became the YouTube sound byte of the convention for people who weren’t just watching the network’s coverage.  The aggression of the police became personal for Francis when they arrested his friend, journalist Jared Paul.  Francis writes “out of the thousand unjust arrests that will happen this year, why am I focusing on this one in particular? Jared Paul is a fellow Providence poet and musician. We've lived together, toured together, protested together, argued with one another from time to time, and shared many incredible moments over the past 15 years. He is a social worker, a community organizer, a selfless human being and a champion of justice. He'd do the same for me in return. He'd probably do the same for you.”

To raise both awareness of the grim situation on the ground at the RNC and money for Paul’s ongoing defense, Sage Francis recorded a song, “Conspiracy To Riot,” and will be giving it away for free at  www.ConspiracyToRiot.com.  Jared Paul’s complete story is there, along with a place where donations can be made to his defense fund -- normally a the exact type of case the American Civil Liberties Union takes on, but they are overburdened by the volume of RNC arrests.  So Jared Paul’s friends have stepped up to help.  Slug from Atmosphere posted his bail and Sage’s song and website launch today.

Francis concludes “this has less to do with a friend of mine possibly looking at jail time, and more to do with citizen's rights continually being trampled on. There are thousands of innocent people in jail right now because of their lack of finances.  This is a principle thing as much as it is personal.”

Please visit www.ConspiracyToRiot.com for more information and to hear the new song from firebrand Sage Francis.
