Escape The Fate To Headline US Tour

Escape the Fate to Headline US Tour in Spring

Not to be Missed! Tickets go on sale Saturday

After honing their skills on the road most recently with Chiodos and Silverstein, Escape the Fate are set to headline their own 6 week US tour beginning on February 5 in Pomona CA. Tickets for all shows go on sale Saturday December 13. Main support on the tour courtesy of Florida’s Black Tide with additional support from Attack Attack, William Control (Aiden) and Burn Halo (ex 18 Visions).

Escape the Fate’s recent release This War is Ours has kept the scene buzzing since its release on October 21 via Epitaph Records. Introducing vocalist Craig Mabbit (formerly of Blessthefall) and produced by John Feldmann (the Used, Story of the Year), the new record caused the mighty Buzznet.com to crash when a flurry of fan activity surrounding the release of the first single “The Flood” overwhelmed the social networking giant’s servers. And it’s only gotten crazier. But while ETF’s fans are growing more rabid by the day, the Las Vegas quartet is enjoying a new-found maturity and dedicated work-ethic, unusual for a young band that Alternative Press summed up succinctly as “a bunch of kids who went from jamming in a garage to opening for My Chemical Romance to being one of the most popular bands in the scene in 18 months.”

Escape the Fate on tour:

2/5 Pomona, CA Glasshouse
2/6 Phoenix, AZ Marquee
2/7 Albuquerque, NM Sunshine
2/8 El Paso, TX Chic's Billards

I Am Ghost @ Deviant Nation

Steve from I Am Ghost recently stopped by Deviant Nation for an interview. CLICK HERE to check it out!

From Deviant Nation:

"Deviant Nation has always celebrated beauty within darkness and no band better exemplifies that better than California's I Am Ghost. The group is like a bastardized version of AFI mixed with My Chemical Romance, but powerful hooks that punch you in the face and drag you into dark places.

I Am Ghost recently released their sophomore album, "Those We Leave Behind" through Epitaph Records. We caugt up with I Am Ghost mastermind Steve Juliano to talk about the group's rise through the punk and screamo ranks, as well as his love of horror movies and tattoos."

Thursday To Release COMMON EXISTENCE, Post New Track

Click Here to listen to brand new music from Thurday!

Critically Acclaimed Pioneers Of Post-Hardcore To Release New Album February 17th, New Single “Resuscitation Of A Dead Man” On December 23rd And Announce Headlining Slot On Taste Of Chaos Tour Beginning February 14th

Groundbreaking post-hardcore pioneers, Thursday, will make their triumphant return with the release of their highly anticipated new album, Common Existence, due out on February 17th from Epitaph. Recorded with producer/mixer Dave Fridmann (A City By The Light Divided, Mogwai, MGMT, Flaming Lips) at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, NY, Common Existence is Thursday’s fifth studio album since the band’s inception in 1997. Packaged presales for the new album will begin on December 10th through the band’s fan club The Thursday Doves, and the album’s first single, “Resuscitation of a Dead Man,” will be available for stream on December 9th and available for digital download on December 23rd. Additionally, in support of the new album the band will be headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour, which will kick off at the Palladium in Los Angeles on February 14th.

Since Thursday burst on the scene in 1998 with the release of their debut album Waiting followed by their classic LP Full Collapse in 2001, the media has often scrambled to type cast the band into a certain genre, unsure and unaware of where they exactly fit in. With each album the band has continually expand the breadth of their music by exploring vast musical soundscapes, transcending boundaries and experimenting with new techniques and styles, all while staying true to who they are, avoiding the passing trends and disproving naysayers. Often accused of wearing their hearts on their sleeves by the media, not that they mind, it’s that passion that has led them to the creation of their forthcoming masterpiece, Common Existence, a thought-provoking and socially conscious album that relies heavily on their roots yet isn’t afraid of venturing forward into stimulating new territories.

“The record is called Common Existence, and I think that this record in a lot of ways is the first time that I‘ve looked at a lot of the same things…all the big life events that happen from a more adult perspective.” singer Geoff Rickly recently explained in an exclusive interview with SPIN.com. “No matter how big the tragedy seems in your life, that’s just the same thing every other person out there is going through. So in a way this is like an answer to War All The Time. When we did that record it was about how every little interaction is like this crazy war going on in our lives, and this one says ‘now, well even the biggest things in our lives are very just common place,’ and I think that’s reflected in a lot of themes in the songs, where there’s an overarching theme that’s illustrated by something very specific in that sense it’s a lot like a Bruce Springsteen record.”

Thursday spent a better part of a year writing and recording Common Existence and their efforts have certainly paid off. From the cathartic “As He Climbed The Mountain” (which is probably the first distortion-drenched hardcore song to feature a slide-guitar break) to the stripped-down post-hardcore anthem “Friends In The Armed Forces” and the simultaneously dizzying and jaw-dropping first single “Resuscitation Of A Dead Man,” Common Existence takes all of the elements of the band’s previous evolutions and manages to create a cohesive sound all their own. With further progression of new-wave and indie-rock influences on their sound, the will undoubtedly continue to confuse cynics who want to slap the latest musical tag on Thursday.

Common Existence Tracklisting:
1. Resuscitation of a Dead Man
2. Last Call
3. As He Climbed The Dark Mountain
4. Friends In the Armed Forces
5. Beyond the Visible Spectrum
6. Time’s Arrow
7. Unintended Long Term Effects
8. Circuits of Fever
9. Subway Funeral
10. Love Has Led Us Astray
11. You Were The Cancer

Leathermouth Debut "XO" In January

Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) And Mates Set To Release Debut January 27th

New Jersey hardcore group LeATHERMOUTH will release their debut album XO on January 27th via Epitaph.  Featuring My Chemical Romance rhythm guitarist Frank Iero on vocals and Rob Hughes on guitar along with various friends, LeATHERMOUTH are ready to show the world how pissed off they are.

Frank Iero has had enough.  After years of keeping anger and rage bottled up, he can no longer contain it.  In 2007, Iero, guitarist of the hugely popular rock band My Chemical Romance, reached his tipping point and created LeATHERMOUTH with Rob Hughes, a friend from Iero’s home state of New Jersey.

“I think there is a void of bands that are outspoken on things that actually matter,” explains Iero.  “There’s too much bad hair and white belts.  Sometimes it nice to turn your brain off and just listen to someone sing about girls. I’m not knocking it.  I do think there is a time and a place.  But LeATHERMOUTH isn’t like that...it’s about hate.  Hate that boils up inside and eats away at you, if you don’t vomit it up you know it will eventually destroy you.”

Tired of the misdirected blame in school shootings, overmedicating kids and nefarious politicians among other things, Iero viciously explodes with pent up frustration on XO, spewing his aggression out in a rapid fire succession.  XO is a call to action with thick speeding rock riffs inciting listeners with brutal hostility, inculcating a sense of urgency with the controversial track “Catch Me If you Can,” which likens the NYPD to Jack the Ripper, “Sunsets Are For Muggings,” about being robbed of your childhood by drugs and therapy and “5th Period Massacre,” which points the finger at bullying students as the cause a school shooting.

“I would say this record is about trying to wake people up to what is happening right in front of their eyes,” Iero continues.  “We are all trying our hardest to pretend bad things don’t happen to good people, and that there is some higher power looking over us...but it’s bullshit.  Stop covering your children’s eyes.  Everything is fucked, and pretending it’s not isn’t making things any better.  I’m tired of people praying for a change when it’s up to them to get off their asses and make a change.”

LeATHERMOUTH will be touring sporadically in support of XO in 2009, in between Frank’s duties to My Chemical Romance.

XO Tracklisting:
1. 5th Period Massacre - 2:16
2. Catch Me If You Can - 2:31
3. This Song Is About Being Attacked By Monsters - 2:40
4. I Am Going To Kill The President Of The United States Of America - 2:59
5. Murder Was The Case That They Gave Me - 2:47
6. Sunsets Are For Muggings - 1:57
7. My Lovenote Has Gone Flat - 2:21
8. Your Friends Are Full Of Shit - 2:07
9. Bodysnatchers 4 Ever - 2:11
10. Leviathan - 2:12

LeATHERMOUTH Tour Dates:
12/4 – The Station – Portland, ME
12/5 – Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel – Providence, RI
12/6 – Starland Ballroom – Sayerville, NJ
12/7 – Toad’s Place – New Haven, CT
