Thursday Announce 'Common Existence' Tour

THURSDAY ANNOUNCE COMMON EXISTENCE TOUR

July 29, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – New Jersey post-hardcore innovators Thursday have announced their headlining fall US tour in support of their critically acclaimed new album Common Existence. The band will cross the country over Sept and Oct with experimental prog-group The Fall of Troy in main support and select dates with noise-rockers Young Widows and prog-rock band The Dear Hunter. Ticket pre-sales will be offered through Thursday’s Doves Club at Artist Arena beginning July 30; public on-sales will begin August 7.

After a stellar run headlining the spring Taste of Chaos tour and a brief tour in Europe, Thursday return to the states brandishing their vigorous, must-see live set for fans once again. The band’s highly anticipated new album, Common Existence, has been embraced by both hardcore fans and critics alike. Described as “a monster rebirth” (Revolver), “the band’s densest, most accomplished album to date” (AV Club), “the metaphorical cherry on top of a continually solid creative output” (Alternative Press) and “the band’s finest effort” (Metromix.com), Common Existence has cemented itself as one of the year’s best rock releases.

Frank Turner To Release 'Poetry of the Deed' In September

FRANK TURNER TO RELEASE POETRY OF THE DEED IN SEPTEMBER

“Heavy-clever wit and wry, do-or-die romantic solidarity of socially superconscious singer-songwriter Billy Bragg by way of Joe Strummer” – Austin Chronicle

July 21, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – Continuing his meteoric rise, celebrated folk-punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner will release his third studio album, Poetry of the Deed, on Sept. 8, via Epitaph/Xtra Mile. Already a household name in the UK, the acclaimed troubadour has his sights set on winning over US fans with his ardent roots driven acoustic rock and relentless touring.

With the help of Grammy nominated producer Alex Newport (Death Cab For Cutie, At The Drive-In, Two Gallants), Turner captures the essence of his fervent live show with Poetry of the Deed. Powerfully candid and charismatic, Turner’s hardcore roots shine through with fiery passion as he embarks on a lyrical journey of life experiences that speak to listeners with great honesty and authenticity.

From the epic country-punk rambler “The Road,” to the anti-folk manifesto “Poetry of the Deed,” to the political rants of “Sons of Liberty” and the rousing punk anthem “Try This At Home,” Poetry of the Deed establishes Turner as one of the most inspiring and lyrically gifted songwriters of the last few decades.

"Poetry of the Deed feels like a really important record to me,” explains Turner. “I feel like I've been rehearsing for this, working out what I wanted to say, for the past few albums, and now this is it, the definitive statement. It's also a massive thing for me to have an album being released internationally and through Epitaph to boot. It's my manifesto for living."

Afflicted by something akin to restless guitar syndrome, Turner has toured virtually non-stop for years, playing everything from massive festivals to crowded house parties, stopping only briefly for a week to record Poetry of the Deed. His well documented performances and journeys capture the spirit of a legend in the making, reminiscent to the heydays of folk inspired artists like Billy Bragg and Bob Dylan with crowds singing in union, drinks clinking with camaraderie and Turner pouring his heart out on stage through his earnest lyrics and catchy guitar play. After a recent stint opening for The Offspring, September can’t come soon enough when Turner will return to the US on tour with Gaslight Anthem in support of the rousing Poetry of the Deed.

Critics first took notice of Turner’s exceptionally captivating music at SXSW, his fellow musicians have known for years and US audiences will know soon.

Farewell To Release Sophomore Album on Sept 1

FAREWELL TO RELEASE SOPHOMORE ALBUM ON SEPT 1

July 14, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – North Carolina’s pop-rock group Farewell will release their electrifying sophomore album, Run It Up The Flagpole, on Sept. 1 via Epitaph Records. The band has posted the first single, “Devoid (That’s What I Think About It),” on MySpace

Fans will surely stand at attention to Farewell’s trademark catchy tunes on this follow-up to their 2007 debut, Isn’t This Supposed to be Fun? But instead of just jamming to memorable hooks, the lyrics of this album reflect an added depth to the pop-rock façade. “We’ve always been a poppy band that’s easy on the ears,” Davis says. “With this record, we wanted to put more content in there. So while you’re bouncing around, you’ll suddenly be like, ‘Oh crap, did he just say that? I hadn’t thought of that!’”

The very first track, “We All Fall Down,” serves as a mission statement setting the record straight about misconceptions, while the first single, “Devoid (That’s What I Think About It)” pushes the envelope about how mindless pop-punk can be by likening it to a fashion show. The album ends with a wrap-up, “Take It From Me,” acknowledging Farewell’s place in the industry. “Don’t write off our band just because we’re catchy,” Davis explains of the track. “Listen to what we’re saying and stand for something yourself too — otherwise what you’re doing is pointless.”

That focus inspired tracks like “Collect to Arms," which tells the geek-to-rockstar journey Davis went through getting ridiculed in school when he weighed more than 250 pounds, and “Catch-As-Catch-Can,” which explains how Farewell came to be — and includes a special tribute to rockstar moms in the hook. “It’s amazing how many mama’s boys there are on the road — you have no idea!”

Stay tuned for updates on Farewell’s upcoming tour!

Run It Up The Flagpole Tracklisting:
1. We All Fall Down - 3:16
2. Devoid (That's What I Think About It) - 3:16
3. A Collect Call To Arms - 2:37
4. Rock On The Radio - 2:39
5. Sucker Bait - 3:03
6. Before I Wake - 2:54
7. Catch-As-Catch-Can - 3:10
8. Priorities Intact - 3:26
9. Drop Dead - 3:21
10. Expect The Worst - 2:39
11. Take It From Me - 3:17

Every Time I Die Have A 'New Junk Aesthetic' On Sept 15

EVERY TIME I DIE HAVE A NEW JUNK AESTHETIC ON SEPT 15

Hardcore-rock band Every Time I Die announce new album and fall tour

July 14, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA. – Warning: an excess of blood, sweat and beers were spilled during the making of 2009's most anticipated hardcore-rock album, Every Time I Die's New Junk Aesthetic, out Sept 15 via Epitaph. Thankfully the band has emerged relatively unscathed and more than ready to rouse the hellion legions with their most brutally delectable record yet, and all in time for their upcoming fall "Epitaph Presents" tour.

While there's no exact science to the resulting madness that is ETID's signature blend of turned-to-eleven hardcore mixed with southern-fried metal, over the last decade the band has consistently produced fan-favorite releases from albums Big Dirty to Hot Damn!, with New Junk Aesthetic as icing on the proverbial metallic cake.

"New Junk Aesthetic is not the next logical step in the progression of Every Time I Die," explains front-man Keith Buckley. "It is an evolutionary leap. It's as if we have morphed from a single-celled bacteria straight to the guy with the dirt bike that will let you watch his older sister suntan if you steal him a smoke from your parents. Certainly you may acknowledge similarities, but on a grand scale, they stand light years apart."

Maniacal, convulsive and completely unpredictable are but a few words that come to mind when listening to New Junk Aesthetic. With Big Dirty producer Steve Evetts at the helm again, ETID set out to corrupt souls and bring fans to their knees with an orchestrated chaos of their heaviest most skillful album.

Like the calm before a storm, New Junk Aesthetic opens with the metal-gazer, doom-ridden track "Roman Holiday," and then quickly segues like a sucker-punch into the thrashing first single, "The Marvelous Slut" (featuring guest vocals from Greg Puciato of Dillinger Escape Plan), which sets the tone for the remainder of the album. ETID continues to raise the bar on all fronts, from Andy Williams and Jordan Buckley's one-two punch on guitars to Josh Newton's brutish bass rumblings on "For The Record" and Keith Buckley's stunning vocal range as showcased in the standout thunderous-rock anthem "Wanderlust." On the pit-swirler "The Sweet Life, Keith belts out "ain't nothing gonna break my stride - ain't nothing gonna slow me down,"," which features guest vocals from Matt Caughthran (The Bronx), and pretty much sums up the relentless energy of the band and new album.

As visually stunning as they are musically, guitarist Jordan Buckley has been the artistic force behind the ETID's graphics. The astonishing cover imagery of New Junk Aesthetic features a mythological god covering his eyes with see-through hands and each song is represented by its own unique artwork.

"Aside from contributing to the creation of the 13 greatest Every Time I Die songs ever written, New Junk Aesthetic will also contain almost 40 pages of my hand rendered illustrations, that, for the first time ever, offer visual insight into the genius lyrics that ETID fans have come to expect from my brother and bandmate Keith," explains guitarist Jordan Buckley. "With the band in complete control over what you hear, see and hold, New Junk Aesthetic will move culture into a place where the possession of a CD is an authentic experience so powerful that you won't even be able to cover your eyes; a feeling long overdue, but guaranteed to be worth the wait."

ETID will co-headline the "Epitaph Presents" tour along with labelmates Bring Me The Horizon beginning Sept 8 in support of New Junk Aesthetic. Tickets are on sale now at Livenation.com.

Epitaph Presents: Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon Tour This Fall!

EPITAPH PRESENTS: EVERY TIME I DIE AND BRING ME THE HORIZON TOUR THIS FALL!

Top rock/metal bands Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon join forces for fall Epitaph tour

July 7, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – Coming this fall, two of the hottest rock and metal bands in the world, Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon, will converge for the first time, along with support bands Oh Sleeper and Architects (UK), for the year’s most brutal tour, presented by Epitaph Records in partnership with Microsoft® ZUNE Pass®, Live Nation, Alternative Press, Hot Topic, Vans and MySpace.

Buffalo’s notorious hardcore-rockers Every Time I Die will tour in support of their aptly named fifth studio album, New Junk Aesthetic, due out Sept. 15. Upon the band’s recent debut of “The Marvelous Slut” on the Epitaph Warped Tour Sampler, fans are in frenzy to hear more of the new record, which the band insists is “on the verge of blowing the earth a huge gaping asshole.” ETID recently unveiled several other new tracks to unsuspecting crowds across Europe while on tour with Gallows.

“We're all well aware of the fact that when bands play unreleased songs on tour,” explains the boisterously comedic frontman Keith Buckley, “there is an unspoken but symbiotic relationship between them and the crowd that the crowd will remain still - judging what they're hearing- while the band works out the kinks and looks for the most appropriate places to jump kick. I assure you that not only have we already perfectly choreographed with a trained professional, you will be unable to stand still at any moment. These demons will not be exorcized.”

Speaking of demons, co-headlining the tour is Britain’s hottest and most turbulent metal act Bring Me The Horizon. Ushering in a new, “New Wave of British Heavy Metal” for Millennials, BMTH are quickly becoming one of the country’s hottest young groups. Doubling the size of their crowds with each visit, the Sheffield hellions return to pack venues across the US with the most intense fans in support of their torrential new album Suicide Season, which features snarling cuts like “Diamonds Aren’t Forever” and “Chelsea Smile.” The upcoming tour marks BMTH’s fifth tour of the US and will undoubtedly be their most anticipated yet.

“We're super stoked to be coming back over to the states in September!,” remarks drummer Matt Nicholls. “Even more stoked that were coming over to tour with a bunch of amazing bands such as Every Time I Die, Oh Sleeper and our good friends from Brighton, Architects! Hope everyone’s just as excited as we are because it’s gonna be an awesome tour! See you soon!!”

Ticket pre-sales start July 7 at 12:00 p.m. (local time) via Artist Arena with the option to purchase a ticket and the “Deluxe Edition” of Every Time I Die’s New Junk Aesthetic for $12 (https://tixx1.artistarena.com/etid/) and the option to purchase a VIP membership package to Bring Me The Horizon’s fan club for $29 in addition to a ticket (https://tixx1.artistarena.com/bringmethehorizon). Live Nation will also conduct a pre-sale beginning July 8 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) with the option to purchase the “Deluxe Edition” of ETID’s New Junk Aesthetic and year subscription to Alternative Press for $20 in addition to a ticket. Public on sale will begin July 10.

Beginning in August, Epitaph, in conjunction with ZUNE®, Live Nation, Hurley, Hot Top, Vans, Alternative Press and ESP Guitars, will launch a viral tour widget offering exclusive content and daily prizes.
