Escape The Fate To Get 'Loco' With Hollywood Undead and Atreyu

ESCAPE THE FATE TO GET "LOCO" WITH HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD AND ATREYU

August 26, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA. - Hot off a headlining slot on the Vans Warped Tour, Las Vegas' most notorious and controversial rock band, Escape The Fate, have announced they will join Hollywood Undead and Atreyu on "The Vatos Locos Tour" this fall.

Touring in support of their hit album, This War Is Ours, Escape The Fate continue their quest for worldwide domination. From their contentiously provocative video for their latest single, "10 Miles Wide," to their outrageous antics and scandalous rumors that continuously follow them, it's evident that Escape The Fate are one of the most talked about bands in the country.

With an album of hits under their belt, radio air-play building and a hot fall tour in front of them, it seems as though nothing stands in the way of Escape The Fate's inevitable takeover.

Don't miss fall's wildest and most unpredictable tour!!

Converge's 'Axe To Fall' On October 20

CONVERGE’S AXE TO FALL ON OCTOBER 20

Essential Hardcore Outfit Announces New Album and Fall Tour

Groundbreaking hardcore-metal band Converge will release their long anticipated new studio album, Axe To Fall, on October 20 via Epitaph (vinyl on Deathwish). Considered one of the most intense, important, and influential metal/hardcore bands ever, Converge continue their uncompromising evolution, experimenting and manipulating the fiercest form of music with the most aggressive album of the year, Axe To Fall.

Fitting like a puzzle piece in their all but flawless catalog, Axe To Fall is an undeniable progression in the band’s canon of cacophonous sound, dexterous skill and ingenious art, as thirteen of the most viciously powerful songs Converge has ever written reign down on listeners in a surge of sonic fury. True to their meticulous DIY style, guitarist Kurt Ballou helmed production duties once again from his infamous GodCity studios in Salem, MA.

Without warning, Converge lets their metal flag fly on Axe To Fall when drummer Ben Koller’s galloping beats meet Ballou’s lightning fast riffs as bassist Nate Newton provides a pummeling backbone and vocalist Jacob Bannon takes command with menacing growls on the album’s shattering opener “Dark Horse.” Perhaps Converge’s heaviest music they’ve ever recorded, the foursome invited a slew friends to contribute to the album, and the result was a wall of metal-infused hardcore on a level that’s never been heard before.

Songs like the hardcore pit-swirling “Effigy” (feat. Steve Brodsky/Lead guitar, Adam McGrath/Guitar, J.R. Connors/Drums), the furiously relentless neck-breaker “Wishing Well” (feat. Ulf Cederlund/Lead guitar/backing vocals) and the blazing thrash-track “Cutter” (feat. John Pettibone/backing vocals) keep the album moving with power and energy. As defiant as ever, Bannon roars through songs about despair and self-indulgent choices warning that “we'll show the demons for what they are.” As the album comes to a close it takes a doom-ridden turn as Neurosis’ Steve Von Till shares vocal duties with Bannon on the brooding track “Cruel Bloom” and Genghis Tron’s Mookie Singerman providing lead vocals on the beautifully dark post-metal album closer “Wretched World.”

After 19 years as a band, Converge still maintain the steadfast individuality and uncompromising artistic vision they had when they formed. The band has been credited with giving rise to a genre of music and influencing bands worldwide, yet by never wavering have created a sound that is entirely their own.

With the release of Axe To Fall on the horizon, Converge are readying an arsenal of music from their storied catalog to unleash on audiences across the US when they tour with Mastodon, Dethklok and High On Fire in October.

Prepare yourself for the year’s most vicious album, Axe To Fall.

Every Time I Die Announce 'New Junk Aesthetic' Deluxe Edition

EVERY TIME I DIE ANNOUNCE NEW JUNK AESTHETIC "DELUXE EDITION" OUT SEPT 15; PRE-ORDER STARTS AUGUST 11

August 11, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA. - In anticipation of their new album, hard rockers Every Time I Die have announced plans to release a "Deluxe Edition" of their forthcoming album New Junk Aesthetic on Sept 15. The expanded edition of the album features two bonus songs and a DVD entitled "Party Pooper." Pre-orders for the standard CD and "Deluxe Edition" CD/DVD will begin on August 11 HERE

New Junk Aesthetic's "Deluxe Edition" will include the bonus tracks "Buffalo 666" and "Goddam Kids These Days," as well as ETID's latest addition to their excrementally themed DVD series called "Party Pooper," which features outrageously funny studio and tour footage spanning two continents and providing hours of non-stop laughter. Watch the trailer HERE

"Deciding what two songs to put on the bonus CD was a very difficult and emotionally taxing coin toss," says frontman Keith Buckley. "Get real dudes, all the songs rip. In this case, however, one record couldn't contain the sheer enormity of the riffs. Just think of the bonus CD as a sidecar on a motorcycle where your little buddy who holds onto your weed and guns sits."

Every Time I Die will take New Junk Aesthetic on the road this Sept as headliners on the Epitaph Tour with label-mates Bring Me The Horizon. Tickets are on-sale HERE

Prepare to have your ass handed to you in the pit by America's favorite hardcore-rock band, and stay tuned for a new song to be released Tuesday, August 18!!

AP Fall Tour Announced Featuring Set Your Goals & You Me At Six

ALTERNATIVE PRESS ANNOUNCES LINEUP, ROUTING FOR THE 2009 AP FALL BALL TOUR

ALTERNATIVE PRESS, the Cleveland-based magazine that is getting ready to celebrate its 25th anniversary covering contemporary punk and youth culture, returns with “THE FALL BALL.”

After the smashing success of the 2009 AP Tour this past spring, we decided that one AP Tour a year isn’t enough. That’s why we’re proud to announce the first-ever fall AP Tour! Dubbed “The Fall Ball,” this edition of the AP Tour will once again feature five of the best and brightest bands in our scene, and will run from late September through mid November across North America.

Tallahassee, Florida, rising pop-rockers MAYDAY PARADE and Chicago, Illinois’ internationally renowned THE ACADEMY IS… will share the spotlight, rotating headlining positions each night. Bay Area pop-hardcore sextet SET YOUR GOALS, electro-pop up-and-comers THE SECRET HANDSHAKE and U.K. sensations YOU ME AT SIX will round out the lineup.

AP’s FALL BALL TOUR includes built-in incentives for both the fans and the bands. At each date, fans who come dressed up in their best formal threads have a chance to win a backstage pass to meet and watch their favorite band from the stage, a photo shoot featured on Altpress.com and more! Also, AP will provide exclusive AP TOUR merch; each band will design their own T-shirt to be sold throughout the tour at their merch booths. FREE posters of all five bands will be available at each stop. Lastly, we have an exclusive offer for pre-sale purchasers only: With the purchase of a ticket plus an additional $9.99, attendees will get ALL 3 newsstand covers of The Fall Tour issue.

“We are really excited about the success of our branded spring tours; it only made sense to take it a step further with a fall tour” says AP Marketing Director Dawn Marshman. “This time around, we wanted to build on the already unique fan experience by adding in the contest element. Our goal is to make these tours an interactive experience for both fans and the bands. I am anxious to see all the fans lined up in their fancy attire!”
