Canada’s greatest literary bar band The Weakerthans have recorded a live session now available over at iTunes.

The set includes five great evocative songs stripped down and played with intimacy by the tour seasoned band. There is a surprising version of the song "Anchorless" from the 1999 Fallow album played with a drum machine and what seems to be some sort of cheap keyboard and it sounds amazing - seriously. The session was recorded at Metal Works studio in Mississauga Ontario and includes three tracks from the recent Night Windows and two off of 1999’s Fallow.

The Weakerthans will be performing throughout the US this summer and fall. Full tour dates are being announced as they are confirmed. While they're at it, they'll be playing a few Canadian dates as well.
